May (South in Biscayne Bay) & June (Palm Beach to Stuart) is Big Tarpon time. Fish are migrating north in schools with fish well over 100 lbs. They thin a little to the end of summer but migrate south again with the mullet schools in September & October. Tarpon fishing during the mullet run can be spectacular (barring interference from hurricanes or tropical storms). Winter months, December through March, Tarpon at night are feeding on shrimp round the bridges and in the inlets in Miami.
